Treating Addiction
Many people in our society are suffering from the disease of addiction. A lot of research is being directed at ways to help address this growing problem. I feel that it’s important to help these people. I took the required course to be able to prescribe Suboxone, a medication that can help with addiction to opioids. It’s tremendously rewarding to help these patients of mine get control of their lives back. Hopefully there will be more advances in this field that I will be able to offer. The practice of medicine is a calling that allows one the privilege to be trusted by people and the opportunity to try to make their lives better. This seems to me to be as honorable a pursuit as there can be.
