Biography
Nyla R. Gardner, PMHNP
I believe people need a safe harbor when confronting the various roadblocks in life. I try to provide an atmosphere of trust and compassion, while offering guidance in assisting clients to make the best possible choices for themselves.
Treatment Philosophy
“I believe the clients I see deserve an opportunity to voice their grievances. I also believe that people need a safe harbor when confronting the various roadblocks in life. I try to provide an atmosphere of trust and compassion, while offering guidance in assisting clients to make the best possible choices for themselves. Treatment and medication choices involve collaboration with the client, not just what I think the person may need.”
Professional Journey
“At a young age, I knew someone who was mentally ill, and I saw how he struggled. This was a great inspiration for me to help others who suffered. I have also encountered people who made harsh judgments about the mentally ill and those with addiction. I decided that I would do my best to try and educate, support and treat this often times underserved population.”
